Suspension Issues!
For backstory this started a little while after i bought it an i was able to ignore it until it kept getting worse to the point i cant safely drive it anymore. First started shaking when i hit 55 off an on for a while an i was able to slow down and keep driving. Now at the point where I dont even trust moving it 10 feet without the wheel falling off.
For context i can feel it binding if i full lock the steering wheel at like 5mph, its almost rhythmic ill feel it catch every couple feet. At speed it feels like its oscillating, back and forth motion and the steering wheel shakes as well. Both front wheels have extreme wear on the outside to the point im showing wires on the outside and the inside still has tread.
It feels like its coming from a specific side (drivers) imo but i may be wrong. Ive put it in the air and had absolutely no play in the wheel at all in any direction. the truck sits with a visible amount camber to the point my old shop buddies have made comments about it to me mentioning i should replace the wheel bearings.
i did take it to a shop that agreed to diagnose after hearing all that was happening but then got into it with them because all of a sudden noone wanted to drive it to seeing as it was "unsafe". Like no **** thats why i brought it here your whole business model is to fix cars that are broken lol but anyway i have the truck back and wanted to try and figure it out myself if anyone has some ideas for diagnosing.
Didnt get to drive my Murica Mobile on the 4th of July so now im here asking for yalls opinions. Looking specifically for ways i can cross things off the list or if i should just throw a wheel bearing in there and see what happens. I and a friend of mine didnt think it was a wheel bearing because there was no slop in the wheel when we lifted it. Would the fact its a heavier duty truck make that less reliable to tell to or something?
