Hi all! We've been having a serious problem w/ rodents chewing wires. I've tried spraying w/ various things (pepermint, citronella, etc) & putting snap traps in the engine bays but the mice, rats, squirrels, & chipmunks keep chewing periodically & it's getting old & inconvenient, not to mention expensive. I've got dogs so can't get barn cats or use poison. I know to hook up the MouseBlocker red wire to the + battery cable & black wire to the - battery cable but it says to hook up the grey wire to a positive ignition source so the high pitch frequency turns off when the vehicles are running. Any idea of a good positive ignition wire on a 2019 F350 (gas motor)?
Who said you cant have cats with dogs?
We have 3 cats and 2 60 & 70 lb dogs, all get on good.
We also foster cats & kittens and dogs are cool with them also.
Try 5 gallon buckets with a few inches of water deep enough they can swim in.
Put something they can climb up on and then fall into the bucket and cant get out.
BTW my cats dont go out side but I do let them into the garage to "hunt" LOL

Are You sure its a rodent problem ?? I have seen problems with rabbits that look pretty much the same as rodent damage ..
Best of luck !!

Another trick that has been verified to work. If you have a place to keep the vehicle under a shed or roof, lift the engine bay hood and leave it open. They will not go in there and build nest and mess around, they do not like being out in the open. Of course this only works for the engine bay.
I have the same problem where I live.As you repair the wires rap the harness with black sticky tape that isn't a vegetable base. Also put mouth ***** in a mesh sack and tie it in the engine compartment if the truck sits in the same place all the time drop some around there also.It cured my problem. All the newer vehicles wires are coated with a vegetable base rap for the insulation and tape is made with it also so read the tape info before you buy it.

I have heard Honda makes a tape with hot pepper in it. I think I found it once and it wasn't cheap. But repairing wiring harnesses is not cheap either.
