I am in the process of doing a body off frame restoration of my 1956 Ford F100. I have added fog lights and want to use a push-pull switch that I will mount under the dash in a single switch in a mount for a single switch that is similar to the switch and control mount for the heater. It is my belief that the taillights should come on with the fog lights. Here is the problem, I need a push pull switch (I am going to use a 1956 switch **** so that it matches the rest of the controls) that will feed the fog lights and the taillights when the switch is in the on position. when off, the fog lights and taillights need to be on different circuits so that when the headlights are one, it does not feed back through the switch and keep the fog lights on. I believe this would be a single throw, double pole switch. I am having difficulty locating one that will meet my needs Any help is appreciated.
Can be done with a Double Pole Double Throw either relay or switch.
If using a relay just wire where the tailights are in the NC position, then a simple on off switch to power up the relay
The 12 Volt source to the switch or relay can be jumped together to one 12 volt source or to 2 different 12 volt sources
It could also be done with a Single Pole Double throw switch, this would just eliminate the 2 left terminals in the diagram
the only thing about using a SPDT is that when the fog lights were on the headlight switch would be backfed from the fog lights
but I do not know if that would cause a problem or not,
