Advice on windshield replacement

I have a 64 F100. I have done all the glass but the windshield.

I am looking for tips.
Sources for glass and seal? It looks like shipping costs more than the windshield!
Do it myself?
Find a shop?
I live in Las Vegas, if anyone has recommendations, that would be great.
I put flat windshields in VWs in the 80s using the string technique, still broke probably 1 out of 4...
Thanks in advance!

A shop came out to replace mine in my 65 which was delaminating along the lower edge. My 65 had the bright metal trim so all I needed was a new gasket and they put it in. Rear glass was fine so just a new gasket and my brother.

I inquired locally about this last year for my 1965 F100 which needs new seals and probably new front glass. I live in Knoxville, TN and there are a couple of companies that would come out and do the install with both options for you providing the glass and them providing the glass. None of it was cheap but since I've never replaced any glass I'll probably go with a local company. I think I searched for something like "classic car windshield replacement" on the internet and then started calling. Good luck.

Thanks, guys. I am going to start out with a local shop search and see how bad it'll cost me. That should give me a worst case cost scenario.

Local shop ordered the glass. I had a new gasket and the chrome strips, went there and had coffee while they installed it.

I believe the DW602 is banded; the top 6" being purple. You might be OK with that, but I found a tinted one that's closer to the original item for a little more money and a longer wait.

Seems high but I can't find where I wrote down the prices I got when I called around in Knoxville. It was last year so who knows how accurate my numbers would be even if I could find them. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I paid $395 last September my gasket with trim. Northern Illinois. Advantage Auto Glass I don't know if they're a chain.
