dash gauges don't work

dash gauges don't work
On the same day, all the dash gauges quit working save for the speedometer, odo. The next day, I could make them work if I slammed my hand onto the dash top. Then, that didn't work either.
I've checked the fuse, it looks good. It's a '91 F 250 with 70 K on it. Straight six, five speed. I am wondering if there is a relay that is involved. Any help would be appreciated.

mine went out, off and on for almost a year, and a pop on the dash with my palm would made it work every day. Finally it died for good and I replaced the cluster
