Hello all, on a 94 f150 extended cab 2wd when installing pivot arm or I-beam bushing, are the bushing supposed to be seated flush in the arm hole with the bushing cap seated flush on the arm or are they supposed to be centered with a little of bushing sticking out on both sides of the arm ? Help
Yes. The new outer sleeve lip is flush against the arm. No different than the old part. I don’t understand what you are asking about the bushing. Are you installing rubber or polyurethane bushings?
It's the sleeve placement I'm concerned about. I bought poly bushing and sleeve all together and had them installed with the lip being flush I've seen them flush and centered Just checking to make sure they right. Thanks
Hey guys sorry for responding over a year late but this is what I was writing about rubber pivot arm bushing's. It's weird because the 80- 96 Haynes manual says leave a 0.210 - 0.299 =7mm gap, i have saw 92-96 with the gap , but the 80's models don't have a gap they are flush. So I installed these the way the manual said. Is there a difference in the year models even tho the book covers multiple years ? Correct me or the book anywhere I might be wrong Haynes book chapter 10 section 11.
