searching for

searching for info on the two hoses behind the plenum on a 97 F250 HD/XL w/5.8 351. One attaches to one of the steel lines on top of the engine , but the other i am at a loss to locate as all that was left was a small piece of the original hose that was there. Not even sure what they do or what system they service.

The first is where the hose connects second shows where its Located on engine. Right behind the plenum there are two and i assume they were molded hoses at some point. Very hard to see and reach . There is actually two of them one on left and one on right mounted to brackets next to the Harness running behind plenum on top of bell housing.

That is part of the air injection system. The piece in the 2nd pic where it looks like a hose goes, there isn't one. That is a muffler for the air intake to the air pump.

There was a piece of hose attached to that
Muffler when i noticed it. I assume it was just left open on the other end? All i could locate was the
Short length (2 inch long) still on the
Muffler.
