No boost when engine is hot

I really dont want to admit to it being the PCM only because I can not afford that price tag. With that said I dont think it is because it would cause more problems if it were the culprit. At least so I would think.

I would also imagine it would atlest send a code saying it was upset.

The PCM is a low probability IMO.

You still have an EGR valve or are you deleted? The valve usually starts opening around 150ECT/160EOT (not sure which one actually drives it) so it would be before your 185F temp so maybe not...

I am deleted but the cooler and valve are in place. Caps are welded into the cooler to remain "stock"

Unplugged ebp i get no boost hot or cold. This is a picture of the latest drive

No amount of throttle could raise boost

I think your turbo vanes are probably stuck.

I can build 20+ pounds of boost when the engine is cool. And by cool I mean 170+ at 185 (nromal temp it seems) the boost problem is intermittent.

I am planning on taking it off the truck again tomorrow, checking all connections, hoses and clanps. Checking for exhaust leaks and trying another vgt relearn; even though, I dont think my truck is even doing it.

No black smoke, no white smoke.

Even when the truck is not building boost and i stand on it, no smoke.

Humm, Power when Cold, no power when Hot, no Smoke from an underboost if the turbo was stuck. Anything you have not mentioned like fuel pressure?

i have not monitored fuel pressure, mainly because it runs perfect cold and only intermittently when hot.

I an planing on doing the "blue spring" upgrade, but alas, I am poor. It will be done as soon as I can.
