'85 Duraspark Distributor?

Hey everyone, I just recently picked up a sweet, low mileage '85 Ranger (2wd, 2.8l V6). I am planning to convert the computer, feedback carb., etc., back to a Duraspark setup. I'm curious what distributors others on this forum have used in the past. The write ups I am looking at call for a 1979 pinto distributor but I cant seem to source any remanufactured or new.

Thanks in advance!

NWN

D6RY-12127-A .. 2.8L V6 Distributor (Motorcraft DA-2545) / Obsolete

With M/T except CA: 1976/77 Capri // 1977/79 Mustang // 1979 Capri (No Pinto/Bobcat listed in the 1973/79 Ford Passenger Car Parts Catalog w/a M/T after 1976).

D7ZZ-12127-C .. 2.8L V6 Distributor (Motorcraft DA-1579) / Obsolete

With A/T except CA: 1977/79 Mustang/Pinto/Bobcat // Ditto 1979 Capri.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 1 = 800-543-4959

Capri was imported from Germany 1971/77. There was no 1978 model. 1979/86 Capri is basically a rebadged Mustang.

Thanks for the fast response. No luck thus far. I'm assuming the inline 6 dist. from the mid 70's won't work, right?

You need a 2.8L V6 dizzy, nothing else will work.
