Got a 1998 ranger that mostly just sits as a spare truck. The other day I saw the ABS light is on, so I pulled codes and saw c1095 which relates to abs pump.
No replies yet so will see if I can get things started. Have a look in the owners manual for the fuse locations, if you don't have one it can be downloaded @ no charge here Owner Manuals (ford.com).
If no joy there, have a look at the fluid level in the under hood brake reservoir & top up if necessary with Motorcraft PM-1 DOT-3 fluid.
Seeing as how this puppy mostly sits, while under-hood also look for signs of mice having nibbled on the wiring to the ABS motor.
Might be helpful to know if this is a 2, or 4wheel ABS system??? Some beginning thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
