Crankshaft gear
1949-53 Flathead V8. I have a pulley puller on the crankshaft gear, it WILL NOT come off ! This is not a junkyard motor either. I purchased a used Merc crank, but the crank was run in a 59AB motor, so I have to change gears. Any ideaa ? I hate to put heat on ,it should come off with a little effort, but DAMN, is it on there ! Thank ya'all. All help appreciated.

Negative on the crank key. I will try the minimal heat 1st, then a bit of the Fire Wrench if I have to. Thank you ! Almost ready for the machine shop ! 😊

Got gear off, used a Heat Gun. It was more the sleeve than the gear. Previous owner got it out of round. Ready for the machine shop. Thanks again.😊
