lining up the dotted lines

I like having the tri-fold tonneau cover on the truck even when towing the 5th wheel. To my pleasant surprise the tonneau doesn't interfere with turning maneuvers with the trailer, there is plenty of clearance. When we arrive at the campground, the cover allows for much needed weather tight storage space for all sorts of things we don't want under our feet inside the camper. So the cover stays.

However, the tonneau and the center rear seat headrest obscure enough of the 5th wheel hitch to be problematic, for me anyway, and I don't want to remove the center head rest for grand baby interests. What to do?

I got some of that conspicuity tape truckers use and put a dotted line up the center of the king pin box. All I have to do now is line up the dotted line on the pin box with the one on the bed camera and bingo, It lines up perfect every time, even though I still can't see the pin slide into the saddle. Sweet Wife tells me when to stop a few inched from the pin. Works great every time.

Cool beans. Before cameras were looking into the bed of trucks, on my gooseneck I mounted an old truck mirror above the leg of the gooseneck pointed down so I could see when the ball was under the leg in my rearview. Also worked perfect.

I found a cheap wireless backup camera and mounted it above, or was it below, the third brake light, ran the power from an upfitter, and hid the wires under the headliner. Then I paired it to my iphone using Roadvue.

Something like
