Tire size

My brother is picking up his new Tremor on Saturday, and wants to put 37's on it. He talked to a local tire shop and they told him "as is" 37 inch tires won't fit. If there is someone in the know about this, please advise.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This thread isn't specific to your question but does have some info you could use. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...f-250-stx.html

The answer would be yes, they will fit, but he might have a very small amount of rub at full lock. I imagine it would be so slight that it would possibly be unnoticed from the cab and easy to live with since only occasional. The wider he goes the worse it will be, so 12.5" on the stock wheel might be the safe limit.

Probably Clear the radius arms and fender liner area but slightly rub the sway bar like mine does and a few otners with 23's on 37s. An after market wheel with a 8.5-9.5" width on a +12 to +20 offset should move the tire far enough away from the sway bar there would be no rub yet still not hit the fender liner/pinch weld area on a 37x12.50. A wheel Spacer that pushes the wheel out around a half inch is another option. I love my 37s on stock 23'. Needs a heavier duty steering stabilizer though imo.

Or get a Hellwig sway bar and you won't rub.

I'm currently sitting at the tire place for the 2nd time today waiting on a re-balance of a set of Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x11.5R20 on my factory BAP 20s.

I have a 2" "Lift" Readylift SST kit. It is their level with a 4" block and spacer for the driveshaft. Good kit, but a leveling kit is better IMO, and I keep debating going back to the stock 2" block.

As far as fit, I haven't played with the tires much yet, but I did notice a rub at full lock going right. I put a whopping 10 miles on and turned around and went back to have them re-balanced.

They look awesome. Not happy yet tho.

I had 37 12.50s on stock wheels and the sway bar never rubbed. What mine rubber on was the radius arms as evidenced from the worn off paint.

didn’t bother me much but it’s nice to now be able to turn fully with the truck and not hear and feel it rubbing. These truck don’t turn well in parking lots as it is.

I now have the proper offset to eliminate rub and a little bit bigger lift on the truck. Much better now.

Ford fixed that for 2023 with a revised radius arm that provides more clearance.

So after getting home, it definitely rubs on the LCAs and looks like it brushes the sway bar as well. Only at full lock tho.

So higher clearance radius arms and less clearance with sway bar? With +40 offset 20x8 and a 37x12.5 it never touched the sway on my 21

I had heard they improved clearance with the '23 sway bar, but it sounds like that might not be true. There definitely have been other 17-22 owners on here who have experienced rub on their sway bar, so I don’t know. The radius arms are for sure different and provide more clearance for 2023.

Gotcha…interesting because had they been able to eliminate both they would’ve had some happy campers from those looking to run bigger tires on stock wheels.
