As the title says I now have check engine light for code 0411 after I gutted the air pump system. Cats have been removed 02 sensor bung to fool sensor air solenoids capped off but plugged In, air pipe removed and holes plugged .Cleared the code but is there a way to prevent/fool so this does not return thanks

Exhaust shop that removed both cats added a spacer to the o2 sensor that moves it out of the Exhaust stream . After the cats where removed I didn't have any codes its just after I re.oved the air pump from the engine bay and plugged the air tube holes In the head
Okay the trick to get the third O2 sensor out of the exhaust stream I am familiar with. Code P0411 is telling you exactly what is wrong... no secondary air is diverted when the computer requested it. With no air pump the computer is always going to flag that code. As stated previously these OBD-II trucks get more difficult to bypassor remove items without making the computer mad. On an OBD-I truck that is not flagged as a code that triggers the CEL. Two ways to fix this I suppose. Put the air pump and hardware back on or find a tuner to turn off that function.
Most will not fart with it anymore due to EPA crackdowns. Buy EEC Tuner or Tweecer and tune it out yourself if that PCM is supported. If not, might have to OBD1 swap it to a supported unit.

Pull the bulb and get on with life. I have a P0401 on my '01 Screw. Pulled the bulb as it is exempt from smog.
Don't have any inspection bs in canada, yes have thought of pulling bulb. More curious if this is going to lead to other things such as bad milage when it constantly goes rich to see conditions ect.
The code is air injection related, not the 3rd O2. Hard to say if code P0411 will prevent the computer from going into closed loop or alter the air/fuel ratio. Drive it, then see what happens.
