I have been very pleased with both I have had. The 6.0 cooler is big and awesome but tbh we did Glenn's in the ox and there are just so many things with ic,rad, condenser and a trans cooler. I like the trucool mounted to the back of the bumper so its away and fully in the cool air.

ya. I couldn’t find many write ups or videos on how to do it. 40k seemed easier
Apparently Mishimoto is out of stock on the 23” universal cooler. Didn’t find that out till today. Back ordered… have to wait till Monday to talk to them
Installed the Mishimoto universal cooler. 22x7”. We’ll see how it goes. Didn’t realize our trucks have 1/4” hose coming off trans. Mishimoto kit supplies 3/8. Had to go to hardware store and make 1/4-3/8 adapter. I need to find one online that’s one solid piece. Hopefully it works well.
my old cooler measured out to 11x11.5”. So the new one is about 20% bigger. I thought it was a little more % than that when I ordered Mishimoto. We’ll give this a try though. See how it goes! Might have to tie the 2 together 😆 About the best I could do without interfering with the hood latch
Mishimoto cooler can’t keep up. Still red lining. Engine fan now locks on too when towing and it reads around 200f or more. Guess I need a pan. This is in
town that I’m having issues
A bigger pan will only take a bit longer to get just as hot. Then it will take longer to cool down. A bigger pan is not a good way to cool a transmission.
A better aux cooler will be much more effective to cool the trans. Replace the small one that you have now with a cooler from a 2003-2007 6.0L truck. You'll have to adapt the lines to the 1/2" fittings on this cooler.
Any chance your trans temp gauge is reading right? 230° even after installing a larger cooler don't make sense, unless there is something wrong with the trans/converter or maybe a kink/restriction in one of the trans cooler lines.
If you plan on keeping the 35s I would do 4.30 gears if you plan on using it as a tow mule, and install a low stall TC.
