Back up lights

Back up lights
I am looking to install some secondary back up led lights on the back bumper. Any info on if I can do a straight wire tap from the factory back up lights or, should I run a relay and wiring from the battery?

The forum search is fairly lax when it comes to multiple term searches. I typically use Brave, Duck-Duck-Go, and sometimes even Groogle, but use the qualifier "site:ford-trucks.com", and get just results from that domain. Works much better for finding specific results.

I have run high power LED lights to the back of a couple of trucks, The last two were wired to upfitter switch so if I don't need the extra light, the stock reverse light work without the added brightness.. I can also flash high beam drivers behind me and illuminate night work areas with out the truck in Reverse.
