plug a trailer cord into the rear bumper and back feed power to unlock the doors with the code or the fob, then you can pop the hood.
One time on a car that i had fobs for but not working lock cylinders due to re-keying I discovered i had left the headlights on, so i pulled one and put power in thru the headlight socket from a ATV battery, it was enough to pop the locks.

Family is important so we'll be fine. This rig was special as I "was" 2nd owner of a very well maintained 2001 Ex w/ 7.3 with sensible mods CT Performance suspension, intake, exhaust, etc!
Every time I washed it I received compliments. It was a forever rig. So reaching out to the forum. Most distinguishing features are double bilsteins up front with Fox steering stabilizer....old ranch hand brush guard...super clean body, no rust!
post to the next door app if you haven’t already. Many vehicles here is noco are found over the Wyoming border and people spread the word through that app. Hope you find!
What happens if say your battery goes dead? How do you get in?
There's a key on the lift glass. You'll just have to climb over whatever is in the back to unlock a door.
My Excursion is also set up like mentioned above with no key hole in the driver door, so I just went in through the lift glass/ barns doors when the batteries died once and unlocked one of the back doors from the inside. Seems a lot easier than trying to rig up some external power source and back feed the system to me.
Deleting the drivers door key hole used to be a fairly common mod in the 99-10 trucks when they were new/ newer and being targeted more. I gave up on new diesels because of the emissions related crap that fails all the time, so it may still be a thing on the 2011+ models IDK.
After reading this post, I purchased one on of these:
It is designed to be placed on the out side for quick access by a race corner worker, but I am thinking this might be good for under the hood.
Now, to figure out where to place it and make it so it does not look slapped together.
I like this design because you can take the red key with you after parking.
