Well, victim of a pro job yesterday in Highlands Ranch, CO.
Family is important so we'll be fine. This rig was special as I "was" 2nd owner of a very well maintained 2001 Ex w/ 7.3 with sensible mods CT Performance suspension, intake, exhaust, etc!
Every time I washed it I received compliments. It was a forever rig. So reaching out to the forum. Most distinguishing features are double bilsteins up front with Fox steering stabilizer....old ranch hand brush guard...super clean body, no rust!
I wish we could do to thieves like they treated horse thieves in the wild west.
It runs so much deeper then just a hunk of metal. It represents a part of your life, working to obtain your ride; time you will never get back.
Don't know....but there's surveillance video...... thieves backed in between a full size pick up and me with either stolen suv or stolen plates....2 worse details.... I don't know why I didn't have an air tag or equivalent. but WORST, it's chipped (I never ran it hot, just used high idle and KILL) **** is indiscreet and I'd kill it in airport or city parking....aaaargh! Let my guard down, but I hate living guarded, I live in WY for a reason....I do feel with the topography around me they may have been spying and moved in once they were confident I'd be inside for a while due to the location
I was at a bar one Saturday night nears ago, I found that someone had tried to jimmy the drivers door lock with a screwdriver, they failed, probably due to parking lot traffic. I ended up installing the jimmy jammers in the front doors, and deleting the front door key locks.
I myself have been the victim of a break in twice. It takes more time and planning to take an Excursion than it does a super duty of the same vintage. That's all I'm going to say.
This is why both of mine have a two way pager alarm that tells me when someone is messing with my truck. I Identified the people both times but cops took forever to get there. I too removed the cylinders from the front doors and have JimmiJammers installed.
Not far from my dads place. I didnt know thievery was a big thing in CO. He never mentioned that nor did anyone that we know out there.
Hope you get our truck back.
Colorado has more car thefts per capita than any other state, with more than 40000 - yes, that's forty thousand - cars stolen in 2022. It "leads" in catalytic converter theft, too.
carbon coupe.....I had an inkling it was bad...but scalded dog is right....everyone in Colorado I tell the past 48 hrs tells me of when their car was stolen and names their least favorite front range town where it will be found in! I try to laugh but it was a forever rig....my 4th 7.3 likely my last....I had a 97 OBS 4x4 crew cab that I got almost 400k out of, that was my previous favorite til the ex!

"Everyone" and "when" is what really stands out here.
yeah I should edit to "anyone", cause I'm not blabbing, but the "when" part I'm dead serious.....I've had my head in Wyoming but my body (and now ex) are in CO for a few months......

I sincerely hope you get your truck back.
What happens if say your battery goes dead? How do you get in?
