Hi yall. I just got a 64 F250 with 292 v8 and 4 speed transmission. the speedometer cable has been disconnected and is rolled up and attached to the truck frame with a zip tie. i cannot figure out where the cable attaches to the transmission. the pictures i have seen on the web have the cable attached on the rear of the trans next to the output shaft. this transmission does not have a place for it there. is there another location?
thx. mick

Welcome to FTE
Speedometer cable attaches to the right (passenger) side of the Borg-Warner T-98 4 speed extension housing.
Speedometer DRIVEN gear attaches to end of cable, then it's inserted into the hole.
Extension housing bolts to the rear of the trans case. 2WD cable is 77.00" long, 4WD cable is 90.17" long.
