Just replaced the top plugs, wires and all my coil packs on my 14, with 86k on it.. they were all shot, the resisters were so corroded you had to pick them out and then you ended up breaking the locating wings at the same time. get some new motor craft ones from rockauto (74$ each as of May 2023) and replace them all.

Which wires did you get? The wires I have look very good.

Only 3 of my coils were destroyed, the truck had good records so I assume original coils - 186k. I bought an Amazon set and 3 failed, so I used the boots and resistors on the original coils. Not cool when those coils really fail. Feels like the engine is falling out.

Eventually I will probably get all Motorcraft ones. Denso is the OEM, that is the manufacturer code on the coil. Not sure if they make the plugs though. The resistor design is interesting - must be to balance the wire with the coil on plug.

One of the coils had a hole blown thru the side plastic.

I bought motorcraft 8mm wires, technically the coils may have been salvageable if I could have gotten the pills out and cleaned the electrode spot, but man.. they were awful so I just replaced them all.

Went with motorcraft plugs about 40k ago and I had a few that the electrode burned out of them on the lower plugs so I replaced them with ngks.

Motorcraft wires are $$$.

Def have to pull my plugs, they have 80K already. Which NGKs? Iridium?

I don't think those motorcraft double plats are great for this application. That could put stress on the coils. Toyota/Lexus uses Denso TT plugs in many applications.

Looks like when I bought them in 2021 from Lakeland Ford they were 168 shipped for all 8 plugs wires.

I went with ngk laser iridiums this last time, but I haven't put many miles on it yet.
