the plug orientation is not an issue. The main problem is that mine has a male socket and the new has a female socket so obviously it will not successfully plug in. I checked other sources and they show the same part that I ordered. I also checked parts for a 96 just to make sure with no difference in part options.
I am going to search the ford part number that is on my sensor. Has anyone run into this?
