Wireless charging pad issues

The charging pad in our 2021 F350 sucks. Location is a poor choice, and road vibrations move phone & charging stops. The 2023 wireless charger is much better, sits upright. I’d like to rip mine out & replace it with the 2023 charger. Does anyone know if that’s possible? Plan B would be to somehow wedge the phone in so it couldn’t move while on the pad.

The one in my 2022 looks similar to the pic of the 2023....but I do know they made the area larger on the 23, as the 22 is kind of a tight space, and hard to get the larger phones in and out of.

2024 F350 Lariat. The phone going in and out of charging is driving me crazy, 50% Batt. I use an older Iphone X. I had to make a plastic bracket to lift airpods to the correct location in my last truck (2021 F350 Lariat). What do any of you guys do and what phones seem to work well?

On my 24 my iPhone 15 slides down too far and won’t charge. So I put the key fob done there for now to keep it pushed up far enough. I’ll come up with a more permanent solution next week.

Are others having issues with the 2022 or below wireless charger? Mine -('22 F250 Platinum) get hot, stops charging, goes in/out. Unreliable. Have had to use charging cord. Seems like a bad design and the hope is a Ford inspired fix under warranty. Am takig the truck in for service this week so if had a solution would tell them what to do. (Versus Ford not finding the issue and stating "works as designed".)
