Well my flex plate got a little boogers. After a little research my flex plate wobble may be normal. Checked all my torque converter bolt on wasn't all the way tight but looks like the missing bolt from my solenoid was the cause the starter was kicking out and dinging off of my flex plate. Now to figure out why my buzz test is showing my idm is bad. Besides the starter issue the truck has been running pretty
My first thought when reading this thread was cracked flexplate. It’s common for them to crack around the crank area. Folks have been happy with the Summit Racing SFI replacement. I’m not sure how you can see it in truck. Maybe check for play with engine off? Hopefully someone who’s been down that road can chime in.
Good new it wasn't cracked but the teeth had seen better days. Also not sure but the outer rung appeared a little warped. Non of the welds were popped but the inner ring did not sit even. I'm not proud to say it but I needed my truck for work tomorrow. I had to burn a Vaca day for today. So I went to oriellys and spent 75$ on a pioneer it will have to do for now. For the money I lose in over time this week I could almost have a shiny billet flex plate.
