Back when, twice I had people break into my truck.

2nd time, someone broke the glass but didn't find anything and I replaced the glass.

1st time, we must have left the door unlocked and they opened it and stole my 2 ATV helmets, some other crap and my cell phone. Wife called the phone company and to see if any calls were made. We found a suspicious number. Call made after midnight for a couple of minutes. Called the number and back traced it. Guy swore he didn't know anything and it was a wrong number. I asked why he talked so long for a wrong number. He hung up. We informed the cops who paid him a visit and found out it was his son that stole the stuff. Insurance paid up less the deductible. A bit later, the guy went to court with his son and I was there. Dad did ask me if we could make a deal. WTF!! Time for a deal was when I called. It's too late now since I already cashed the insurance check. I couldn't simply ask the judge to drop the charges without looking sketchy. Long story short, I was praised for helping put this clown in court.

Know the difference in both cases? I don't. After all that trouble, I helped put someone in court and get a note in his record but I was still made whole by the insurance company. So, why would I bother to waste my time? Say I caught the guy and they managed to prosecute him. Now what? Either way, insurance pays. What are you going to do? Sue him and get a million bucks? Nope. Just waste more of your time. I paid insurance so I don't have to worry.

I am seriously looking at the Viofo A139 Pro.

This is a pretty in-depth review with comparisons from other cams.

My dashcam has better resolution than my Ford 360° cameras. Next truck purchase, I'm going to verify the video quality first before I order the OEM camera system.

I have a BlackVue 590W that I really like.
The software/app is really easy to use. The picture is great for the price.
I installed it a little over 2 years ago, and witnessed someone rear end another driver about a month ago. I pulled it up on my phone and it’s still recording just fine. Ideally you should check it every month or two, but I just plain forgot about it.

I have the A139 in my truck. Very nice and much better than the A129s in my kids trucks. It still stops recording after x amount of time.

How has the license plate readability been on the Wolfbox? I do like the concept of not sticking it to the windshield as well.
I will post up some images tomorrow when I have access to my laptop. Work laptop wont allow usb transfers. It's 4K so should be quite readable.
