Engine perch tower correct?
spoke with driveshaft guys and they explained the process of getting it cut and balanced. so this will be the direction I’m heading in for now.
plan:
-remove rear shaft then remove front shaft, then move engine rear until it sits on perches correctly.
-Then I drill new holes into frame where transmission crossmember will sit so I can bolt it down. Any tips on drilling into frame for these holes?
- then I will measure from end of transmission tail shaft to center of u joint as per driveshaft guy.
then they will cut front shaft and balance both shafts. I’ll pop them back in and should be good.
question:
-tips on drilling new holes in frame for transmission crossmember holes.
- what else should I do while I’m down there??
-does anyone know if I should be flipping my transmission cross member around the other way or if I should replace transmission mount… also what bolt would fit there since it’s been missing this whole time.
-last question for now is what nut(fastener) attaches to the 302/351w engine mount?
