5.4L in the Excursion
For those of us with 5.4L 2000 Xs, what products are recommended for increasing mpg and performance. We are considering a Jacob's Mileage Master - has anyone had any experience with these ignition systems on Excursions? Any info is greatly appreciated.

hi, i am the proud owner of an x 2001 with the 5.4 engine. this truck has nothing to envy the v10 engine. i do not tow nothing larger than a jetski, but i can assure you that it has excellent power and great gas mileage. it is a 2x4 and is driven in florida. :-X12

I get 13 - 14 mpg around town, 15 - 17 highway, and
>never under 11 towing an 8000 pound boat.

Man ! What am I doing wrong? Best I ever got was 13 going downhill with a tailwind. I get about 10 or 11 all day, in or out of traffic, freeway or not, loaded or un.
Something wrong with my 10 gunner?

2kXV10 lmt on Weld 16x10 'phoons w/35 x 12.5 AT's. Fabtech/Liftmaster 6" lift and 6x Rancho 9000's, Superchips 1715 tuner, K&N intake, AirRaid throttle body spacer, cat back 3" sst exhaust into FM70 big block, 2.5" dual out.

Lifts kill mileage. Did you readjust the speedo for your tires?
