This forum often times doesn’t turn up the best search results (searching the forum with Google actually works better), so I understand when occasionally a simple question that could be solved independently pops up, but when it’s perpetual I know that’s very annoying and also a waste of time. Sad to see the guy go. Grateful for those who remain.
X-10 My opinion exactly.
I would not be too hard on members asking questions as I have tried to search this site at times and it ends up so convoluted I just start a thread to get answers.
I feel the search issue on here could be GREATLY improved if they (whoever they are) would spend the time and think about it..
It would be a wonderful improvement if it worked. better.
My .02 worth....
I get it though. I subscribe to this forum, and get the daily digests, and it really is the same thing over and over. Asking questions is good, but you have to realize this forum has been around for over 2 decades and it is full of information. A lot of time I run into things where people don't want to do the work, they expect there is a "tip or a truck" to fix their problem.
9/10 my answers are full of questions.
8.9/10 I don't get my answers
8.8/10 they tell me they already tried something or some new part is, well, new and assume it's good.
I've seen some of his posts on FB. I had taken a break from the forums for a while but switched back hoping it would be a different group.
It was, but at some point it is the same old stuff.
I can’t imagine the Facebook users being more diligent or thoughtful. I was a member of several dentside groups on Facebook. The number of scammers and trolls prompted me to leave the groups and platform. Each unto his own.
Yeah, Facebook is garbage and I’m pretty sure it causes some type of mental disorder which is why I want no part of any type of social media.
Beer... heck ya take the ol Navy vet out for a cold one and here some of those "their I was.... knee deep in parts request, not a NOS part to be found. The microfiche bulb was blown, so I had to resort to a paper parts book. Word from the front line was delay's on deliveries. Commies and chevy guys charging the counter. All I had to defend myself with was a stapler". Has to make for some great stories.
Welcome back already. LOL I tried FB for like 15 minuets and gave up on them Ford truck folks.
Hows it going Bill? Welcome back! If you dont mind could you link your facebook in here? Im sure other people besides me dont know which William Wilson you are. Thanks, Daniel N.

A friend on mine lives in Acton, former Santa Monica Police Officer, drives a 1966 Shelby GT350 that he bought new.

@NumberDummy Curious if you were a box kickin SK in the Navy? Kinda makes sense being a parts manager. Now, the SK rate is LS (Logistic Specialist). In case you didn't know, but I'm sure you did.

AFAIK, he drives it. He had a Paxton Supercharger installed just after he bought it. Paxton was located on Olympic Blvd. in Santa Monica.
I've never been to Acton, but get off the 14 freeway at Red Rover Mine Road, then head west on Sierra Hwy to Shannon Valley Rd, then head north to Daphneyland (Basset Hound Rescue)
