Anyone know where I can find a replacement coil spring retainer? The U shaped thing that secures the coil spring in place at the top? I broke one. Thanks!
Thanks, the truck is a 1966 2WD, but it don’t think those are the right ones based on the picture and location. Mine mount more inward, as opposed to near the outer lip like the diagram shows.
C6TZ-5B300-F is the part number. Not reproduced as far as I know. I’ve only ever found the one new pair. I might have one good used one but finding it could be a challenge.
Actually need two of these now as I just noticed that the other one is broken as well.
Also just realized I think I need a new one of the big bolts that connects the radius arm to the I beam, the one that goes up from underneath for the base of the coil spring? Any ideas where to maybe find one of those?
The fastest way to get those retainers is to make your own. They are just a piece of flat bar with a couple of nuts tacked to it. As far as the bolt goes just go to Fastenal and buy a grade 8 bolt and nut. It ain't like anyone is ever going to see either one of those parts..
