Starter Pinion Gear
6.7. 130k. Forum search found nothing. Got the occasional starter grinding. I have inspected the starter. Gear looks fine. Always spins strong even when very cold. But I would like to replace the starter gear before replacing the flex plate gear assembly(much bigger job) which also looks fine. Im unable to find a pinion gear crossed to the starter. Surely someone makes one. Starter is factory bc3t-11000-ac.
Anyone have a pinion gear replacement part number for the starter? Thanks for your help.

The good old days are gone .. I think they only sell rebuild parts to commerical rebuilders any more ..
The DIY mechanic is forced to buy assemblies, starters, alternators, front wheel bearings ..
If you have a starter/alternator shop in Your town They might sell You one ..
But You will probably have to let them change it .. Those parts are not supposed to be sold ..
