Question help a rookie

hello to all,

can someone tell me if the rear main bearing is a pressed fit on a 88 460? i hope that made sense. it seems that the main bearing at the back of the block is to narrow to fit down into place and the same with the cap side bearing.

sorry to ALL THOSE WHO ARE OFFENDED that i posted this thread in the wrong forum i was thinking of the truck and not the mechanical side
