Yes, it is mostly just trim. The limited is only available in 3 colors, Mineral Grey, Aspen Green and Black, and everything is monotone, the grill, bumper pads, lower cladding, etc. All body color. I've seen a Mineral Grey Limited, looks like it was made for the Army. A lot of grey. In the EB, the trim is all Arizona Beige no matter what the body color.
The EB has different wheels than the Limited, and the EB has two-tone leather seats (light/dark tan). The wood trim in the Limited is cherry, a little redder than in the EB. The Limited does have some funtional features that are optional or not available on the EB:
6 CD in-dash stereo
heated seats
Homelink
memory seats and pedals
steering wheel radio controls
The 2003 Limited is basically the 2002 Limited with the "Ultimate Package". The 2003 EB is roughly equivalent to the 2002 Limted w/o the Ultimate Package.
One exception is that the 2003 EB two-tone seats are the same as the 2002 Limited Ultimate Package seats. Why Ford swapped them out in 2003, I have no idea.
Personally, I like the two-tone seats bettter. Plus, like I said, you had better like Mineral Grey, Aspen Green or Black if you get a 2003 Limted, because the WHOLE truck is that color. Not even the pin stripe, which is deleted off of the Limited.
With the EB, you can get White, Red, Blue, Aspen Green, Estate Green, Mineral Grey or Black, and the trim is Arizona Beige.
But what do I know? I bought a plain white XLT with cloth seats (wife liked it better, got to keep her happy).
You can get more info. on the 2002 and 2003 by going to www.sunrisefordfleet.com. On the left, click on "Down Center" and then 2002 or 2003 Order Guides.
For 2201 information, go to www.edmunds.com. Click on "Used" cars and follow the links to 2001 Ford Excursions. On the left hand side, there is an icon for "Standard Features", "Colors" and Price with Options". That should give you all the info you need.
Thank you very much for your help. I will have to do some more research and try to find exactly what I am looking for. I am going to post one more question that just popped into my mind.
