Stock 2 wd 2012 F250, not even sure of the wheel size but installed new Michelins of stock size 5 years ago. Maybe 5000 miles and no tread wear. Truck never sets outside and not driven in winter. Am I going to have to replace next year because of age?
If it were me, I wouldn't worry about them for another 5 years. This gets discussed to death over on the motor home forums. Everyone has their opinions that usually average around the 7 year mark. Some have said that Michelin actually says 10 years. Keep in mind that their tires are carry multiple times what yours are, and a blowout has more serious consequences, sometimes loss of control, and lots of damage to the RV. The chances of an actual blowout on a PU is much less, and also loss of control is less as well. I've lost a front tire on a 4WD F-250 and had no trouble getting it to the shoulder of the interstate, even after having to go about 1/4 mile to find a safe spot. There was no damage to the truck, not even the wheel. The fact that yours aren't even exposed to the elements when parked, would make me be even less concerned. Go for a drive and find something else to worry about.
