So, as I'm cleaning my carb (77 F250 w/460 so it's a 4350) i see what appears to be an uneven cut and some corrosion on the well where the power valve sits. The cut doesn't look to be factory made. Did this come from factory like this and if not, Any reason someone would do this? Truck ran fine before so i assume the carb isn't ruined because of this, but I'd like to hear any thoughts. Thanks guys
What you see is just a wall of sorts to baffle a well from which the PV can draw from, it's not sealed by a gasket at all and somewhere the wall must allow fuel in from the float bowl reservoir of fuel. It's not corrosion.
