Has anyone else had trouble with playing CDs that you burn yourself? I have been playing them in my truck for at least 2 years now and they worked fine and now all of the suddent they dont. Regular CDs that are bought at a store work fine. The ones I burn either are not recognized by the player or they skip or they are spit out and the player says "BAD DISK ERROR".
2 years is a long time to me. i burn my own cds but unless i leave it in the deck, i don't get any more than a few months.
i leave a copy on my hard drive so when i wear out cd i can just burn another.
or where you saying it won't play fresh burn't cds?
you can also run a cd rom disc cleaner in your deck
hope any of that helps.
i have seen two different problems. 1) low quility disc. they a cheap and in most cases the cd eye read throght them. it sees the disc but and also see on the other side so it ejects it as a bad cd. 2) a low burn speed. i have seen some radios play cd burned at 16x that they would not play when it was burned at 4x. i hope this will help. if these two done please update us with what does help.
Took my 2003 back for a cd problem and service rep's first question was "are you haveing trouble with store bought cd's? He told me the Ford CD players are not real fond of burnt cd's. Mine has been playing both no probs
