Roaring in front end

Hey guys, I just replaced ball joints, hubs, tie rods and steering linkage, but I'm still getting this roar from the front end when driving. Could all this noise really be from the tires? They're BF Goodrich A/Ts ko2

Roaring is only associated with speed, not associated at all with RPM?

Only speed. Not rpm

first thing first, verify the front hubs are unlocked so the axles are not turning.
then check the unit bearing ( wheel bearing ) play.

wheel bearing typically "sing" when you slightly turn but if you missed that noise they will progress into a roar right before they catastrophically fail.

Well, the cheapest move is a good visual inspection by a front end technician.

_______________
The scope of "Within Specifications" has widened.
Perhaps you are old enough to remember the stickers on things that said "Meets or Exceeds Specifications".
Seen one of those stickers recently ?

I don't want to hump this guys thread but I did a search on hubs and yours is the closest to the answer to my question.
I installed two new Timken hub assembly on my 2000 Ex about 20,000 miles ago.
I had a thumping right off with my mile marker manual hubs locked in.
Now I am trying to install XRF ball joints and I can not get the hub off of the axle.
Rotating the hub, the axle is not centered in the hub.
The axle was also seized onto the hub, which I got broken loose.
Seems like this hub is bad again.
I am going have to pry it off.
My question is Timken the hub assembly to buy or is there something better.
How long show a Timken hub last?
I use Rock Auto.
I have to put this mess back to together so I can go to work in the morning and order more parts.

Thanks

Brian

I was in a similar situation. I replaced everything on my front end from wheel bearings to radius arm mount bushings and everything in between trying to fix a sloppy steering. Took it on a trip and had a roaring sound. Thought I screwed up the wheel bearings so I replaced them again. Still roared. I then bought new wheels and tires that stuck out more and closer to the fender and could then visibly tell the left suspension sat different than right. The left side camber was way off and it sat an inch lower than the right. Mine is a 2WD so I ended up replacing coil springs and coils spring buckets. Turns out the springs were so worn and the buckets were in bad shape from rust that it affected the camber of the wheels which created the roaring sound. After replacing that all is well and roaring is gone.
