Questions about 2007 e series v10

Just realized from some other reading that in the vans I get V2 not V3? Is that right
what is the main differences in this motor/transmission setup vs V3 models?

looking to buy a shuttle bus

found a 2007 with 122,000 miles and good service records and i meticulously maintain my vehicles

is the trans different on this van? And about how many miles are people getting out of the transmissions on these ? I realize the motors are long lasting if cared for

i am fine with buying a tuner if needed

honestly i am a Ford person but have been VERY impressed with my GM 6.0 gas motor , super low maintenance costs and zero problems
wanted to find a van with the GM6.0 but 90% of them are Ford

little worried about the mpg on the V10 and costs of replacement motors/transmissions vs the GM setup since i will probably keep it several years
that is the only thing holding back a purchase on this van

any input is appreciated

The E-series never received the 3V of the Modular Motor until at least it's end of life version of the full-body, 2013 model year.
