$500.00 non-functional hood scoop breaks down as such. 2% in design/production costs and 98% donated to the Center of Neurological Studies to continue funding research on why the human brain finds it necessary to fit non-functional parts to a vehicle. Ford Motor Company is a large donator themselves spending much money on design and engineering of non-functional fender vents.

No one can top that last gen Tundra's Fake scoop on top of a fake scoop on some of the higher end trims.

I saw a Tundra TRD Pro the other day. Sold for $88,000 with markups over MSRP. It had all kinds of black plastic scoops, cowls and vents on it. lol

My fiberglass Cervinis does this too. If I meet a rig on a 2 lane road at speed, it almost makes me think it's coming off. All stock mounting hardware, snug bump stops.

No hood flutter from mine, but I left my air dam on and unmolested. And yeah, I spent the first few months assuming the fender vents were functional…. As ugly as the 23’s are, at least they have functional fender vents!

If you reply to a thread on this forum, you should automatically become subscribed to that thread, and you should get an email notification when someone else replies to the thread after you become subscribed. You do not just get email for replies to your post, you also get emails when people reply for any reason. If the automatic subscribed is not happening, you can hit subscribe below the thread. You hit unsubscribe to stop getting the emails. I do not know about notification for 'likes'.

I have a 2019 F250 6.2 with no hood insulation and no hood scoop, and the hood does not 'flutter' when traveling.

Lots of silly children stick on plastic parts that do nothing for their vehicles but they think it makes it look better. Ridiculous wings and such. I laugh but to each their own I guess. My biggest laugh is those fart can mufflers.

I put a new hood with a scoop on my previous truck. the whole thing was 1 piece fiberglass. they painted and clear coated to match using my door paint code. it cost me about 1400

I did it mainly becuase on the 6.4, they were notorious for exhaust leaks ...and broken bolts and such and crazy body off labor to fix...only to have it crap out again. the leak would stink up the inside of the cabin becuase the cabin vent in...was right above the area that leaked and the fumes had no other place to go but into my cab.

but..with the hood scoop...there were vents to free air at the rear edge of the hood as well as the scoop opening....no more cabin fumes.
