Hello, I am in the process of converting my 93 F350 with 7.5L over to carb. I am wanting to use the stock fuel pump relay to control the fuel pump and the EEC relay to control some other stuff. These relays are ground switched correct? Are these grounded through the ignition switch? Does anyone have any good wiring diagrams for this year with 7.5L? Thanks
The ECU grounds the fuel pump relay to turn it on. You can simply install a oil pressure switch in the engine block and the fuel pump will turn on when it sees oil pressure. That's the safest, easiest way to do it.
No they are not.
The Fuel Pump relay is grounded by pin #22 of the PCM.
The PCM Power relay is tied to a ground point (LH front of engine compartment, on upper radiator support).
