The passenger-side components (alternator and smog pump) should come out of the engine bay as an assembly after removing 3-4 easy to access bolts that hold the aluminum bracket to the block and head. I'm not sure about the drivers side, but it's a lot easier to work in the engine bay if the engine accessories are removed.

Ok, is there anything else I should replace while the cooling system is open?
I’ve replaced:
Radiator
upper and lower radiator hoses
coolant bypass hose
thermostat housing
thermostat
now going to replace water pump.
