1995 Trans Question
I have a ‘95 F-150 with the 5.8 L engine I’m trying to get back on the road. It does not have a transmission and I’m looking for the right one.
car-parts lists two transmissions for 95 and I can’t decipher the difference:
F5UP-DB and F5TP-AB.
what’s the difference and which one will work in my truck?
Here’s the info from the door plate:
can someone knowledgeable please tell me what will work?
I appreciate the help!!

The E under TRANS means the truck was built with an E4OD transmission. Some of them had a C6, which would have a different letter code.
You need a small block E4OD, and need to match 4x2 or 4x4.

I would suspect an E4OD or AODE in 1995.

The AODE was never mated to a 5.8L in a truck. The code E on that tag means it had an E4OD. These are facts, not guesses.
