I would go steel as the ALUM I think would be a little softer and if using higher spring rates could put a strain on that ALUM gear and strip teeth.

You can use a single spring.
The Comp 903-12 spring works.
The Comp 903 fits the stock intake retainers.
You just need to replace the stock exhaust retainers with stock intake retainers and use .050" up locks (keepers) to get the retainers on the exhaust valve near the same height as the intake retainers.

Intake retainers
55-6179 | QualFast High Performance Retainer| Goodson Tools & Supplies
Up locks
Locks, Keepers, Hardened 11/32" X 7 Degree, .050" Up Locks, Raises Retainer Higher, Sold in 1/2 Sets - Alex's Parts Sales (alexsparts.com)

You are using a mild cam with mild valve springs, so the aluminum gear set is OK and I believe it gets quieter than the steel gears as it breaks in.

If you keep the boost at 5 lbs it will be OK providing the ignition timing is retarded with boost and the air/fuel mixture is richened up under boost.
You will have to run larger injectors.

I don't know what the limits are for the stock fuel pump but if you turbocharge I would suggest that a higher capacity pump be used.
There doesn't appear to be a problem with mild naturally aspirated power upgrades.
You would also need to replace the stock fuel pressure regulator with a boost referenced regulator if you turbocharge.

The Comp 268 cam has low valve lift and will work with your cylinder head since it has short valves and limited valve lift.
The Comp 268 cam kit comes with Comp 903 valve springs and requires that the exhaust retainers be replaced with stock intake retainers along with .050" up locks on the exhaust valves.
The Comp 268 will make good power from just above an idle to 4500 rpm.

There are posts on turbo charging and there was something about replacing the head bolts with studs IIRC
Even if not I would to be safe.
