Fuel pressure regulator

Hi , I grabbed a fuel pressure regulator off a 1990 f 150 straight 6..now I would like to know if I could try in on my 1990 f150 302 .
as I think mine might be a problem.
and I grabbed the other 1 before I knew better.
can I just give it a try and see what happens..

The 4.9 is rated for 49 PSI and the 5.0 is rated for 30 PSI. You need one for the 4.9 or you will have fuel delivery problems.
