I'm bringing my 1968 F100 Ranger (which was mostly sitting on a farm for 20 years) that I bought this summer back to life. Got the camper off, remanufactured brake booster installed and carb rebuild. She's running great, but I'd like to touch up the paint in select places (see photo of the top of the cab.) The VIN plate says the paint color is 'Lunar Green.' WHERE DO YOU BUY paint that actually matches? I saw something about 2-stage paint and don't know what that is and suspect I don't have the equipment to apply it. I saw a thread here about getting it in a spray bottle from Napa but never heard any more about the results.
Any suggestions you have would be much appreciated. If you can help, please reply as if you're talking to someone who knows NOTHING about this because that is where I'm at.
THANK YOU!

Do a search online for autobody paint supply in your area. Select a supplier who can mix paint. My local paint supply can match paint and make up spray cans. If the truck is drivable take it to them if not take the glove box door or ashtray if they are the same color you are trying to match. Most can make a paint that matches pretty good but fair warning it's tough to get it perfect with 50 years of weathering.
I made a custom tailgate from a white truck and wanted to keep the patina look on the truck I was putting it on so I painted the tailgate to match my truck using custom mixed rattle cans and it came out pretty good. The drivers side fender was too badly damaged so I had to replace it and use the same paint. It came out "ok"
Myco If the glove box door is Lunar Green and it should be .My Late Dad bought a brand new 1967 F-100 Camper Special in the exact same color combo. that you have. Find your nearest PPG paint store. They have a machine that can "read" the color and give you a exact match. They will put it in a spray can and away you go. I did that this last summer on a NOS Left fender for a 67/72 Ford truck. I sprayed it Lunar Green on top and Wimbledon White both were spray cans. I'm Very pleased with how it turned out.
