How much to do the factory LED. I was looking at Morimotos. They are pricey but look nice.

Factory LED conversion is even more expensive if you buy new. Or, roll the dice with used stuff for about the same price. That's ultimately why I went with the Morimotos. The reviews are mixed, no doubt about that, but I can at least get them exchanged for 5 years if they have problems. Not that I'd be happy about needing to do an exchange, but it's starting to look like it was the early batches that had problems. So far I haven't had any issues but I didn't get mine when they first came out. I chatted with PTT about them and he saw issues early on but nothing lately.

they dont have any headlights (because drop in LED bulbs for headlights are not DOT approved)

waiting for them to release a full headlight assembly though like they are doing with other vehicles.

I have purchased a number of Morimoto items from The Retrofit Source and have been very satisfied. Additionally, when I purchased the Morimoto headlights, I had the option to trade in my OEM LEDs for cash. I made SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) happy because I got them out of the garage.

agreed.

the only way I’d swap oem leds out for Morimoto junk is if my oems have issues and the morimoto was a much cheaper option for replacement.

Even then I’d go new or used oem replacements before resorting to that.

I appreciate all the perspectives. Does any one know if the auto on and off function works with Morimotos? I would think it would but wanted to check.

It works fine on my 2011.

Yeah that stuff will work no matter what light you put in there.
