Because of a minor accident I need to replace one of my headlights and the grill on my 2017 F350. I think I will take the insurance money and upgrade to the Morimoto generation 2 XB headlights. I am also thinking of going “all in” with the matching grill and the fog lights. Two questions for the group. Where is the best source to get the best pricing and possibly free shipping? Are there any opinions on the lights/grill/fog combination? I have read all the reviews and it seems like mixed reviews. Those who are happy are really happy and vice versa. I will probably wire the headlights and grill to a switch on the dash instead of the battery so I can turn the DRLs off if I want. I don’t have upfitter switches. Is there a better way?
A search on this forum will turn up a lot of information. As you have noted from elsewhere, reviews and satisfaction are mixed. And mixed is something that I would consider before dropping that kind of money on Morimoto.
There was a forum member, Dudes Diesel Performance that was selling Morimoto stuff at one time. I haven't seen much from him lately so I'm not sure if he's still around or not.
If you like the cheap ricer look then pull the trigger. My experience with their products has caused me to never consider them again for anything. Apply that money to an OEM LED swap, you'll be much happier and it's not hard.
I have had both the Morimoto LED fogs and LED projector headlights for several years from Headlight Revolution in my 2011. Easy install and absolutely no problems since. IMO, Morimoto’s quality is top notch.

You may be the only person to ever say this.
I had the Morimoto XB full LED headlights on a TRD Pro 4Runner and the beam pattern was terrible! I don't know how they passed all the necessary legal tests and requirements. The lighting in the foreground was so bad that unless you run your fog lights at all times, there was such a dark spot that if you weren't careful, you'd run over something or run off in a ditch. And yes, they were aligned perfectly.
And not only that, In the 6 months I owned them, I had to have 3 headlights replaced under warranty. Super high failure rate.
There are certainly lots of stories about issues with them. I'm thinking of getting them anyways (the hybrids because they look much more like the stockers and may have less issues due to the retention of the incandescent signal) because the stock ones are expensive, require an aftermarket harness and still throw codes. I see three options; aftermarket LED bulbs (not a fan and doesn't change the look); Morimotos (dubious quality) or the OEM LED's (2-3x more money and still isn't plug and play). The whole issue seems like picking the lesser of three evils...

I'll keep my stock halogens just in case.

I had the hybrids. The beam pattern was horrible. And an OEM install doesn't throw any codes if the proper changes are made in Forscan. I know because I'm one of the many who has done it. The hybrids do look less ricer the the XB's bit like I said the beam pattern was horrendous.
Mixed results for sure. I have the XB headlights and taillights with no issues at all. They look good to me, though looks are subjective. The beam pattern for low and high is excellent and light output is outstanding.
I can't comment on the grill or fogs because I don't have them, but fogs are on the list.
I love the look of the Morimotos and wanted to upgrade to a set after I got my truck, but after the reviews I have read here and on other sites, there’s no way I’m sinking that much into them. I would just go with the OEM’s for f I was dead set on a new set.

Ditto, they're just not worth the expense, to me. Even if there were no reports of problems, the price of just headlights is ridiculous. There are many, many more practical mods that I could buy other than headlights, that would provide more than aesthetic value IMHO.
