7-pin trailer connector harness query

Hi,
I have a 1995 F-150 5.0L 4r70w XLT (Eddie Bauer) and I want to install a 7-pin connector to power my trailer brakes. My truck appears to have the towing package as it has the extra relays under the hood attached to the power distribution box, the black and grey connectors under it are plugged in, and out back at the bumper there are black and grey connectors with a total of 7 wires. I checked the wires and the running light, blinkers, switched power, etc all are there.

Did (or does) Ford sell a plug-and-play harness with the 7-pin connector on one end and 2 plugs to connect to those existing plugs? ( I would prefer not to have to hack up the factory harness.)
If so, does anyone have a part # and better yet, a source for the thing?
I found a thread that mentioned a similar harness, but it was only for the flat 4-way connector and not the 7-pin connector.

Thanks in advance!

Ford made them, but I couldn't find one for sale when I looked earlier this year. So, I made one using a new pre wired 7 pin receptacle and a pair of appropriate 4 pin connectors to match the truck harness.

The connectors are the same as period EGR connectors, so you should be able to source them pretty easily. I bought mine from LMR, listed under one of the mustang sections. I use non insulated butt connectors with a crimping tool and adhesive lined shrink tubing. Other folks prefer soldering.

Also, you will need to get a brake controller. Your truck should be equipped with a 6 pin connector in the cab (under the dash, about center) for this purpose. Curt and others make plug and play harnesses to use this connector for their brake controllers.

Great to know...LMR actually has a sale right now on the EGR pigtails, I'll go order 2 ASAP!

im not sure about 94 or 95 but 96 connectors are unobtanium and were used for much less. because of corrosion I just hacked mine off and used the direct connections to wire to a universal
