Ok. I think this is my issue here in pics. What is this? I've twice heard in the last few days when wheels were turned going around a corner a clunk sound. Then went over a speed bump and heard it again.
This component is loose - when moving steering wheel with truck off you can see it moving slightly
Tie rod end joint. I guess you could call it a ball joint. You can get a tie rod/ drag link I think it's called) with the ends on it for replacement. That would take care of all the componets except the steering box and the king pins.

I hope your just using the LMC page for reference...as NAPA will more than likely have all the inner and outer tie rods for your truck. Also check the steering coupler AKA rag joint. Mine was broken and a new one made a ton of difference on the slop factor.
I got a moog tie rod, outer tie rod, and pitman arm from CJ ponyparts, the inner tie rod and coupler from lmc.
best prices and good brands. About $220 total- idk what napa or az would have been
should all arrive by next weekend when i can do the job
funny you mention the rag joint - i got one about a year ago just in case for future use…current one is stock and in good shape. The new one is totally different material, very heavy duty. Luckily dont need to do that….yet? Haha well see
I would recommend that while you're there doing the work. Just go ahead and jack the front end up and place on jack stands. Yes, I know you can do this work without jacking the truck up. And I have done it myself several times. However, I recommend doing this so that it'll be easier to inspect and replace (if need be) the radius arm bushings and the pivot arm bushings. Those are often overlooked and will cause clunking noises as well. And those parts too can be sourced from your local auto parts store. No need to mail order from LMC who is often times way overpriced on common everyday wear items that can be bought locally.
