Ummm. That's not right. The starter solenoid has nothing to do with the ignition system.....but...
Ford uses the starter solenoid as a terminal block for the main cab power wires, and a broken wire or burnt fuseable link may have been disturbed enough to connect and start working again.
You should take a close look at those wires and fuseable links for damage before you drive it farther than you're willing to walk home.
