Tested it. When I crank the test light goes from green to red. Which I’m pretty sure means it’s going from ground to power based off the instructions.
here’s the plug I proved I proved the yellowish tan one
That means its charging but not discharging the coil to make the spark. It should be cycling about 10 times a second. Use the same LED test light to test the PIP sensor by connecting it to the first pin on your ICM (should be gray/white wire) and see if that flashes.
If it’s 10 times per second the camera may not have been able to catch it, I’ll review the video and see. If it doesn’t flash I will do the test again while I’m testing voltage there, and have someone crank it while I look. I didn’t have a 2nd person when I did the test the first time.
I did also see it can be the ignition switch. Which my truck did keep cranking after I took the key out for 5-8 seconds
Yep. I got that part. But a normal incandescent light should be flashing like a strobe... I don't know how your led light behaves... It might have a filter in it to slow down the light from pulsing fast.... I dunno.
True, didn’t think of that. I’ll be testing the ignition switch tomorrow, I’ll update when I do that. I’ll also have the test light ready to test the relay if it does decide to crank by itself again.
Regarding the test light i think its red when 12 volts flows from tip to clamp and green if it flows the opposite way. I may have the colors reversed but it is just telling you which way the juice is going.
