Hello all. Not at all a 6.0 question, but the lack of zerks is on a 6.0
Front upper ball joints. 4x4 truck. The nipples need replacing. They will 100% strip when I take them out. Does anyone have any genius ideas on how to install new ones without removing the shafts?
Some of those are "pressed" in and do not have threads. The zerks normally come in two styles press in or threaded. The threaded are tapered and can generally create their own way in with a few turns.....but it also depends on how much downward force you can exert while turning.
The press in you can gently tap into place with the right tool/socket.
Not sure I answered your question but I am not the brightest either
They are threaded, and upside down Haha. There wont be much force to be applied. I'm thinking about sticking a groove in the new zero, so it acts like a self tapper.
